    • I have owned the u8n for the last year. It is a very good smart TV once you get through a few bugs and programming issues. There is a bug in SDR filmmaker mode where it doesn't work on all apps. It will also revert to theater night for no obvious reason. Because of this, I chose to use theater night as my preset, and it works well. In hdr10 there is a bug in filmmaker mode that elevates the eotf and over brightens the image. This is found in the HDMI dynamic range setting which can be accessed with a 4k Blu-ray player. If you cycle through the settings from auto to limited to full then back to auto, it will resolve the bug. Filmmaker mode also doesn't work consistently across all apps. Because of this I chose to use HDR theater mode with the same settings as filmmaker mode, and it works well. Hdr10+ theater mode has the most accurate color. Unfortunately, Hisense programmed it wrong by having local dimming and peak brightness turned off by default. This causes you to have poor contrast and exposes panel uniformity issues. I overcame this by setting the local dimming to high and then adjusting the peak brightness manually, and it looks good. Finally, in Dolby Vision, I found Dolby Vision dark to be the most accurate. I tried Dolby Vision IQ, but the light sensor is too aggressive and causes the image to be too dark.
