You have to set your mind to it if you want to buy anything less than a pretty good TV these days, but "pretty good" underplays the LG G3 quite a bit. Historically, there are only so many positive things you can say about how a TV looks in your humble abode, but if your living room resembles a Soho House showroom, the G3 is purpose-built to slot in as a focus piece. Given that LG doesn't even pack a foot stand in the box, it's clear that wall-mounting is the preferred destination, with its razor-thin wall gap and almost non-existent bezel for added decor brownie points.
We expect a lush picture from an OLED TV, and LG’s Evo G3 certainly didn’t disappoint on that front. But this TV’s image processing impressed even more, producing almost no visual artifacts.
LG ups the dazzle factor with its first MLA (Micro Lens Array) OLED panel. Sublime picture quality, aided by LG’s most powerful picture processor, makes the G3 a flatscreen to lust over. It’s also a design statement with excellent gaming credentials to boot. The OLED jungle has a new king!
The LG G3 is one of the brightest OLED TVs on the market, and its visuals are eye-catching no matter what you want to watch. Only a few tiny flaws, including its sound and less-than-cutting-edge HDR color, keep it from perfection.
The LG G3 OLED is an outstanding TV with no real weaknesses. Its excellent brightness in both SDR and HDR makes it well-suited to watching anything from TV shows or classic movies in SDR to watching the latest hit movies in HDR.

Today’s best HDTVs are sure to more than satisfy even the most critical buyer. That goes double for 2023 LG’s G3. Despite a few ergonomic quirks (a personal call, to be sure), it makes a strong case for itself as it jostles for the top of the hill as the best 4K HDTV on the market.
The LG G3 takes things up a notch with the introduction of brighter OLED TV technology that ramps up the contrast to create a stunning picture. Coupled with phenomenal gaming performance and a premium design, the G3 proves there’s still life in traditional OLED tech yet. But all of this comes at a high price, and there are areas where it's bested by high-end rivals.
LG G3 is an impressive OLED TV for both SDR and HDR viewing, and finally a significant step up from the C series. It delivers approx. 1400 nits peak brightness with accurate picture settings and up to 1800 nits at a higher color temperature (but not sustained). MLA OLED (Micro Lens Array) is not just boosting the white subpixel but actually increases luminance of the RGB subpixels, too, although it still cannot match QD-OLED in color volume. Only the 55, 65 and 77 inch G3 screens feature MLA, thoug
LG’s first MLA OLED is a startlingly good flatscreen, thanks to innovative panel technology, a fine sense of style, and a full complement of big-screen gaming features.
The LG G3 doesn’t just take OLED technology to another level - it elevates it to a whole new universe. The extra brightness it delivers without damaging its traditional contrast strengths makes HDR look incredible, and finally sees OLED parking its tanks on LCD's lawn when it comes to delivering the picture goods - even in bright rooms.
LG has made sure to give its very best 4K OLED model, the G3, a real upgrade this year. As usual, the top-of-the-range model is aimed at the more discerning, with advanced image processing, a wealth of refinements and connectivity options, plus a bespoke wall-mounting design.
Give the LG G3 OLED the best possible source material and it'll reward you with the best possible viewing experience. Traditional OLED picture quality doesn't get better or brighter than this – and cinephiles will see the obvious benefit. Superb as the picture quality is, however, the lack of a stand mount, so-so sound (not unexpected for a slender design such as this), and the overall expense implication are hurdles to overcome if you're considering this as your next TV purchase.
