For those seeking a premium OLED TV experience without a flagship price tag, the 65-inch Samsung S90F is clearly an outstanding choice. Its imagery is top-tier, its gaming capabilities are cutting-edge, and its smart features are more refined than ever. While cinephiles should still look to an external audio upgrade – the set is fully compatible with Samsung's Q-Symphony soundbars – and Dolby Vision fans may feel miffed by its snub, the sheer quality of this display more than makes up for such shortcomings. Just remember that all this enthusiasm is focused on the 65-inch model. Samsung's predilection for panel obfuscation means its sibling models must stand on their own two (slot-in) feet.
The Samsung S90F truly shines in a dark, cinema-like setup. Its OLED panel delivers inky blacks with zero blooming, while colors stay vibrant and rich, while being virtually free of banding. HDR highlights really pop thanks to the TV's robust peak brightness, and the set's processing delivers strong HDR brightness accuracy and upscaling. Low-quality content smoothing in low-bitrate streams is less convincing, sometimes leaving compression artifacts behind, and the panel's lightning-fast response can introduce mild stutter in slow-panning film and TV scenes. Overall, this is a standout home theater TV.

The Samsung S90F is a splendid television where picture quality is concerned. It’s bright, detailed, handles motion well, serves up convincing contrasts and is a superb example of what an OLED TV can do. Its smart TV interface is good, it’s a fine option for gamers, and its sound isn’t actively offensive (which puts it ahead of any number of nominal rivals) – although adding a soundbar will always be an improvement. When it further drops in price that 5-star rating will be even more qualified than it is on launch day, too.
If you absolutely have to have a Samsung S90F right this minute, you’ll be buying a TV with a whole lot of talent that’ll keep you entertained for ages – but you’ll be paying more than you have to

The Samsung 65S90F delivers much of the performance of Samsung’s flagship OLED TV for far less money, making it a true 2025 TV hero.
