The Y600 are refined and easy to listen to, but they fall just short of the articulacy we’ve come to expect from AKG

Most will be happy with the Y600NC for all that's on offer - until you go listen to the slightly pricier competition out there and realise what could be had.

A solid pair of wireless headphones from AKG with good build quality, excellent comfort levels and a fine sound. The middling ANC performance is what keeps these headphones from challenging the likes of Sony and Microsoft in the mid-range area of the market.

Noise cancellation may not be on par with pricier rivals, but the Y600NC are capable headphones nonetheless

The AKG Y600NC are a well-priced pair of headphones that make all the right compromises. So while you can do better by picking up a different set, you don’t necessarily need to.

If you like the slightly idiosyncratic style of AKG Y600, you may well also enjoy their slightly idiosyncratic sound. Especially if you are actively opposed to big bottom ends

The AKG Y600NC will divide listeners; some people will absolutely love their expansive soundstage, while others will find their music sounds oddly sparse and disjointed – and the noise cancellation isn’t anything to write home about. Saying that, we liked the slick design, and the ability to pair them with more than one device at once is a useful feature.
