While the Bose SoundLink Flex is still the mini Bluetooth speaker to get if you can afford it, the Motion 300 is an excellent value alternative that's only a small step down in terms of performance and design. I also like the Tribit Stormbox Flow for the same price. It has a more generic design but has better battery life and sounds slightly warmer, which you may -- or may not -- prefer.

The Soundcore Motion 300 is a hard portable Bluetooth speaker to not recommend. It’s very inexpensive while offering quality audio with a very customizable EQ available through the Soundcore app that can automatically adjust depending on positioning. The only real issue is the lack of an auxiliary input. Anything else missing is minor, especially considering the sub-$100 price tag.

If you are looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker that’s tough enough for life in the wild, the Anker Soundcore Motion 300 is excellent. The build quality is rugged enough to go anywhere and there’s plenty of sound to spare, thanks to the 30W total output. With 12 hours of battery life, a bass boost option, an IPX7 waterproof rating and Hi-Res certification, the Motion 300 ticks all the boxes. It’s excellent value for money. Highly Recommended.

The Anker Soundcore Motion 300 is small enough to fit in a coat pocket, but goes big on volume, sound quality, and value for money.

It’s not just the price that’s right about this speaker. In addition to impeccable workmanship, there is a simple but useful app and the sound is also impressive considering the size class. We were particularly impressed by the bass and the achievable maximum volume. A similarly conceived Bose Soundlink Flex does not have the really only slightly harsh aftertaste perceptible in some vocal ranges. But it costs almost twice as much in the price list. The automatic sound adjustment “Smart Tune” with position detection is a real highlight.

The Anker Soundcore Motion 300 is good for outdoor use. This small, lightweight speaker is easy to bring with you, and you can strap it to a bag or backpack as you travel around. It's solid and sturdy, with an IPX7 rating for water resistance. It's designed so you can switch up its orientation based on what's convenient to you, and the speaker adjusts its output accordingly for the best possible sound. It still gets pretty loud for a small speaker, although there's some compression as you push it to max volume.
