The LCD-3 was most certainly the most eye-opening experience I’ve had listening to headphones, with regard to clarity and detail. You could almost reach down and touch Gilmour’s guitar – that’s how articulate and real it sounded.

Audeze literally took over the Hi-Fi world by storm and raised the bar to a level I’d never thought possible. It’s hard to think of Hi-Fi headphones without first visualizing an Audeze headphone. Beautiful design, exceptional bass and mids combined with that desire for status in owning one of these beauties is too tantalizing to hope to ignore. I just hope that the next era of Audeze headphones is one that implements a much more user friendly fit and also one that has drastically improved stereo width capabilities. For now, I’m more than happy with the LCD-3 and find little else to begin to compare to it’s overall untouchable musicality.

There’s no denying the LCD-3s are expensive, but such is the quality of their performance that they almost seem like good value
