For a high price, you can get a really great sounding set of cans for your audio production or audiophile needs. The DT 700 Pro X looks the part and feels comfortable over long sessions. If you want to hear basically everything—and in style—try it.
Beyerdynamic's wired DT 700 Pro X headphones are ideal for both personal and professional listening, delivering accurate audio without sacrificing comfort.
Combining impressive sound with a fit that is among the most comfortable ever. It is a real standout in the studio. Full, clear, and accurate it is an ideal choice for analytical listening. Despite a high price tag, the DT 700 Pro X is among the best closed-back studio headphones available today.
It’s built like a tank, amazingly comfy, magically linear, sounds like a 4 digit headphones, and will completely cut you from the outside world. In fact, for this price, it’s basically a steal and if I could write long, convoluted sentences about how magical it is, I’ll just ask you to get off your desk and go listen to it at your closest audio shop. Now!
The sound of the Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X was surprisingly uncompressed for a closed headphone and close to that of the new open model Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X. Only the slightly stronger bass makes a difference. Otherwise, the sound was characterised by open highs and cool, differentiated mids. Due to their good external damping and isolation, they are just as well equipped for recording as for mixing and editing work on the move. For the retail price of 249 euros, for me, the price-performance ratio of the Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X is absolutely compelling!
No extra processing. Highly accurate sound. Games feel immersive and real. Music and movies were less artificially exaggerated in the low and high end.
These might not be the most accurate headphones ever made, but for $299, they’re a bargain for what they offer. I’m excited to see what composers, producers, performers and so on do once they get their hands on these.
The soundstage performance has been improved significantly, and I really liked the changes in the low end, and the lack of hardness in the treble. The headphone is receptive to EQ which makes it a good option for the studio and it’s manufactured by a company that cares about durability, and providing value for your money.
If you already have a pair of DT 770 PROs and love them, there probably isn’t any great need to upgrade to these, unless you’re looking for something you don’t need to drive as hard. However, if you’re in the market for a new pair of reliable studio cans that you’ll reach for time and again to expose the fine details in your productions when tracking and referencing, while simultaneously revealing hitherto undiscovered delights within existing material, the Beyerdynamic DT 700 PRO X should be up there at the top of your list.
The Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X headphones are undeniably awesome - delivering superb sound, incredible comfort, super style, and long-lasting durability. Indeed, we struggle to pick any holes in these headphones.
