Bose delivers this technology brilliantly – applying noise cancellation in everything from your sound system to your phone calls. The eight microphone system in the headset ensures that people can hear you talking exceptionally clearly.
he classic noise cancellation has gotten updates, and you can now have 10 levels of control. The improvement for voice calling and virtual assistants is truly an impressive feat. And 20 hours of battery life is certainly less than 30, but quick charging can help you get through the day.
Between their overall modern and elegant design and the level of comfort offered, the Bose Noise Cancelling 700 wireless headphones offer excellent value for the money and consistently provide a quality listening experience.
Bose went back to the drawing board for its latest headphones, and that decision was a success. The 700 has better noise-cancellation thanks to customization, and thankfully, it looks much better than the company's previous models. Touch controls are reliable and the battery life is adequate to keep the music going for as long as you'll need. There's a lot to like here, but for $399, these needed to be perfect to dethrone Sony. That said, Sony needs to nail any future version of the WH-1000X to keep Bose from retaking the crown. The gap isn't as wide as it was a few months ago.
The wireless Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 offer terrific audio performance, hands-free voice assistant access, and the best tunable active noise cancellation you can buy.
There you have it. Bose has come a long way in the noise cancellation departments since the Bose QuietComfort 35 was released in 2016. They have completely revamped their design and provided us with some of the best microphone audio quality on a pair of ANC headphones to date.
The Bose NC 700 are for those looking for a durable pair of travel headphones or bedroom headphones that deliver excellent ANC and sound quality. This is not a headphone that is disappearing soon from the lineup because it delivers on every promise; durability, affordability, battery life, comfort, and decent sound quality.
There are lots of good noise-cancelling headphones out there (check out our full list of best noise-cancelling headphones), but as soon as I got the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700, people were asking me whether I thought it was better than the Sony WH-1000XM3. Unfortunately, it isn't a simple yes or no answer. In some ways it's better and in some ways it isn't. Here's a little scorecard that will hopefully inform your buying decision.
For the audiophile who must have the best sound possible in noisy environments, I prefer the Sony WH-1000XM3. They offer superior overall audio quality. For the most effective noise canceling while flying and anyone who values headphones for phone calls and working with voice assistants over all other considerations, the 700 are the way to go.
The brilliant Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 offer superb and highly adjustable sound blocking, plus great audio quality… but they don't quite beat Sony's equivalents in terms of battery life and price. Still, you can't go wrong with this stylish and impressive set of headphones
The Bose 700 headphones have unparalleled craftsmanship and quality; however, the elephant in the room is the hefty price tag. Sony has several headphones for under $200, which offer great sound quality, better battery life and high-quality noise cancellation. Still, the Bose 700 headphones offer superior comfort while ticking off all the items on my lengthy headphone wishlist. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to a friend.
The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 are supremely stylish, and when it comes to sound quality and noise-cancelling they retain most of the strengths of their esteemed predecessors, the QC35. Undoubtedly, they’re the best Bluetooth headphones Bose has ever made.
These headphones have some of the best noise canceling in the world. They sound quite good, if you like a brighter edge. They’ve got a gorgeous industrial design. They feature well-integrated work-oriented technologies that are really cool. The ear-cup swipe control doesn’t take long to figure out and ended up being pretty cool, too. If great noise cancelation is a top priority in your next pair of wireless, over-the-ear headphones, you might just need to try on a pair of the Bose Noise Cancelling 700—it will deliver in that department, and far beyond, at a pretty fair price.
While the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 can't beat the Sony WH-1000XM4 at active noise cancelling, it still does a great job. This is exactly the upgrade that Bose needed to make, and this is one of the most desirable pair of ANC cans on the market.
Bose ups the noise-cancellation ante here, turning public spaces into private dens for quiet two-way communiques with friends, family, and your favorite digital assistant.
If you have enough money to buy the 700 at retail price, you might want to consider the Sony XM5 instead since they’re in a similar price range and can do almost everything better than the 700.
The comfort is there, Bose’s noise cancellation is about the best you can get, they sound good, and multi-device pairing is something you’ll quickly appreciate. And you’ll never want to go back to talking to people on other headphones.
They have a slightly bass-heavy and warm sound profile since their treble is underemphasized. That said, they're still fairly well-balanced as they have a neutral mid-range, so vocals and lead instruments are clear and present. There's also a graphic EQ in their app, meaning you can customize their sound to your liking.
The soundstage has decent depth, though the width is average. Given the context of closed-back BT headphones, the Bose 700 perform average or above average in this aspect.
If you haven’t had the aural pleasure of trying the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones, the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 are legitimately a solid set of noise-cancelling cans. Still, they’re premium priced and questionably pitched as an upgrade to Bose’s iconic QuietComfort 35 line, and the sound logic behind that is debatable.
With an MSRP of $400 the Bose 700 is far from cheap, but the price is justified. The incredible sound, remarkable comfort, and powerful noise cancelling justify your investment, and the robust build quality will help ensure they outlast cheaper competitors. However, it’s worth noting that there are other, very good wireless noise-cancelling headphones available for much less money.
The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 mark a shift for the company, attempting to diverge from a perception of being bought by business travellers towards a design-led luxury offering with a £350 price tag to match.
A well-balanced sound, terrific sound imaging, and effective noise cancellation are only a few of the many things you’ll love about the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. If you want to elevate your listening experience without going full audiophile (just yet), this one’s an excellent introduction.
