If you love that bass: If you love music dripping with bass, then the PI5 bring plenty of with its performance. They’re a big, substantial sounding pair of earphones that go deeper in the low frequencies than more premium space
For Android users, the PI7’s advantages are clearer cut; this is still the best true wireless earphone I’ve yet tested. Even so, the PI5 puts up a more than reasonable fight. This more terrestrially priced model still acquits itself well against key rivals and looks good while it does it. For this reason, the PI5 comes enthusiastically Recommended.
Both in terms of noise cancelling and functionality, the Bowers & Wilkins PI5s lack quite a few things, even when compared to competitors like the Sony WF-1000XM4, so while I can definitely recommend the PI5s as the class leaders in sound, the sacrifices in functionality result in a lower rating.
While the Bowers & Wilkins PI5 true wireless earbuds don't have absolutely everything you could need from a pair of headphones, they do have tonnes to offer including high-end sound and effective noise-cancelling tech. They're a great alternative B&W's priciest pair of buds.
Its more balanced, careful response is something truly unique to true wireless, and if that sounds like something you’re interested in, then you can bet on the satisfying sounds of the PI5.
The true wireless Bowers & Wilkins PI5 earphones get most things right, but nothing elevates them above the similarly priced noise-cancelling competition.
The PI5 bring B&W’s famous elegance and sophistication to the true wireless earbud world, but a few weaknesses keep them from usurping the reigning brands at this price.
Although we were expecting a watered-down version of the PI7’s, the Bowers & Wilkins PI5 are anything but. Indeed, we loved the sound quality, the comfort, reliable connectivity and the noise cancelling is pretty decent. It matches or betters rivals including, crucially, Apple’s AirPods Pro.

The Bowers & Wilkins PI5 has the aesthetics, sound, and noise cancellation to draw you away from the AirPods Pro, but it isn’t perfect.
