The sumptuous Bowers & Wilkins Px8 noise-cancelling headphone looks and feels every bit as beautiful as it sounds, but its luxury appointments render it a significant step up in price from the also-excellent B&W Px7 S2.
At $699.00 U.S. there are a lot of less expensive noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphones. There are also several more expensive audiophile-level, wireless headphones. These flagship Bowers & Wilkins headphones, in my opinion, are sitting in the sweet spot when adding up all the various strengths the Px8 has to offer.
Bowers & Wilkins Px8 headphones are just that type of product. They are gorgeous. They sound better than most headphones in their class and look better than all of them at this stage. The Bowers & Wilkins Px8s aren’t cheap, but they are solid performers and, depending on your needs, you’ve got all sorts of options.
if you're considering buying the Bowers & Wilkins PX8, you're probably not too worried about the price tag. They're without a doubt one of the best sounding wireless headphones that I've ever tested; and they're a noticeable setup from the more affordable B&W PX7 S2. And they're also incredibly comfy.
Some people can’t spend $700 on a pair of headphones. I get that. And even if they could, some will never spend that much on headphones. I get that, too. However, there are some who have the means and the desire to own something that helps make their music not only sound great but wraps them in comfort while doing it. That’s why headphones like Bowers & Wilkins’ PX8 exist.
The Bowers & Wilkins Px8 is a set of very well-made headphones. The sound is very good, and especially seductive is the creamy, warm midrange and the lush bass. The music takes on a glow like few others.
Many parts of its design are highly improved, but you’ll have to pay a higher price for it. It is a higher-end Bluetooth headphone that can be a great companion if you’re willing to pay. The sound signature has some great qualities, especially its bass, highs, and soundstage. While it is a remarkable step up from the PX7, I’m not sure if it is quite the audiophile sound that a pair of headphones at this price usually go for. I enjoyed my time with the PX8, and if you’re willing to pay one hundred and fifty dollars more than the AirPods Max then it is going to be your best bet.
The Bowers & Wilkins PX8 are the pinnacle of B&W's over-ear headphone offering, and the sound here raises the bar yet again in the world of wireless listening. Where to begin? Probably with the oodles of detail, agility and expanse on offer, all underpinned by a gloriously weighty bass. The effective (if not jaw-dropping) ANC and solid suite of features completes a compelling proposition from B&W. They’re also incredibly good-looking – and the 30-hour battery means they'll last the whole day.
The Px8s are simply some of the best luxury wireless headphones you can buy today. They’re exquisitely comfortable, sound amazing, and are built to such a high standard, that you’ll be reminded every time you pull them out just how nice they are.
I still think that $699 is a lot to pay for a set of wireless headphones, even ones that sound as good as the Px8. But B&W manages to justify that price by delivering a set of cans that will delight your senses of sight and touch too. And for some folks, that will be worth every penny.
The Bowers & Wilkins Px8 are good for commuting and travel. Although bulky, these over-ears have a comfortable, premium build quality and come with a carrying case to help protect them when you're on the go. They also have an ANC system, and although they aren't the best at blocking out rumbly bus and plane engines, they do a better job of reducing ambient chatter. They also last over 30 hours continuously, which will get you from point A to B with ease.

Nobody does it better than Bowers & Wilkins for high-end headphones, and the Px8 isn’t just a great-sounding pair, but a delightful experience, with high-calibre audio, effective noise cancellation, very good call quality and superb wireless performance. It’s a terrific luxury set of over-ears.
The B&W Px8s are a fantastic pair of headphones, that look and sound the part for those with the budget. However, if the price tag is a barrier, the Px7 S2 are a worthy alternative for the Bowers & Wilkins sound.
