Overall the Denon AVR-S760H is an excellent AV receiver that is ideal for anyone looking for a low cost model that can be used for either a small home theater or entertainment area or for a gaming system without worrying about the HDMI 2.1 problems of the past. Denon seems to have delivered and thus we give our highest recommendation.
The Denon AVR-S760H is a home theater receiver that truly delivers solid sound quality. Whether you’re a fan of classical music, pop, hip-hop, or movies, this receiver has a lot to like. It’s not the most powerful receiver on the market, but the receiver will shine in most medium-sized spaces. The amp also has a plethora of features from 8K support to Bluetooth which make it one of the more versatile AV receivers on the market.
In my opinion, the Denon AVR-S760H while being a great receiver, also strikes the perfect balance between number of connections, adequate power, and truly great audio quality.
With a plethora of useful features, should you need something for a 7.2 speaker setup or perhaps smaller, then this fits that standard nicely.
It even has Atmos support for additional speakers.
Simply put, it’ll serve you well in your search for a proficient receiver.
Highly recommend it!
With support for 5.1.2 channel immersive surround sound with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, six HDMI 2.1 inputs with HDCP 2.3 and enough power for a small to medium listening room, the Denon AVR-S760H gets our highest recommendation for an entry-level home theater receiver. Add in a budget 5.1.2 channel speaker system and you’ll have a great-sounding starter home theater system for less money than the cost of a high-end soundbar.
When it comes to entry-level home theatre receivers, the Denon AVR-S760H is hard to beat. It works as advertised, requires no effort to set up, is loaded with features, and gets the job done without any hassle. The fact that it can process full bandwidth HDMI 2.1 4K 120Hz is its main selling point, making it ideal for a gaming system that doesn't require some of the other parts found in high-end setups.
