The sound quality of the Edifier S1000W would be more of a surprise if I hadn’t already reviewed the company’s Stax Spirit S3 headphones. As with those headphones, I found myself going back and listening to some of my favorite songs, just to hear how nicely the S1000W treated them.
For the money in the active speaker space, I think these are the ones to beat right now. I love the design and was impressed by the build quality and feature set. The sound was the icing on the cake, but it isn’t for people looking for hard-hitting bass.
I think it’s worth the price it’s asking for. I’ve tested other HiFi bookshelf speakers – like the Audioengine A5+ Wireless but costs more than twice the price but lacks the variety of inputs like the Edifier S1000MKII.
Edifier S1000MKII acoustic structure retains the HiFi combination of titanium treble and bass in the aluminum alloy diaphragm. The upgrade and optimization of the circuit supporting is the core of the S1000MKII update. The most important one is the upgrade of the Bluetooth module. S1000MKII uses Qualcomm’s latest QCC3031 chipset, supports Bluetooth 5.0. The transmission rate can reach 2Mbps and supports APTX HD high-definition wireless transmission.
