The aesthetics are more of a mixed bag. It is a big headphone but much comfier than I imagined it to be and easier on the head than some of the competing flagship headphones such as the LCD-4. The cherry wood is quite an appealing material for the cups, however, the various grades of materials used and ‘memorable’ design will stir up some distracting debate.
If you are not on a budget, need the comfort of a closed back headphone and you want it to sound as close as possible to an open back type one, then the Hifiman HE-R10P is the 1st headphone you should look at. An excellent technical performance, a high level of musicality and a lovely design.
I found them quite fun to listen to with most kinds of music and the HE-R10P have some endearing sonic qualities to them that should find favor with many high-end headphone enthusiasts. Personally, I don’t think they are a “game-changer” headphone like the HE-1000 were back in the day and I wish the HE-R10P had a more premium and luxurious feel to them for a flagship set of cans. That being said, I know a number of people who would find the HIFIMAN HE-R10P’s warm and spacious sound character to be just their cup of tea. They certainly have a different personality, and in the high-end headphone game, that accounts for a lot. They are worth a listen if you get the chance.

Although the high frequency part is not harsh, the feeling of roundness and rebound is still worse than the feeling at the tasting meeting of the day.
