So, for 650 bucks right now, there ain't really nothing I could be mad at regarding this TV. In fact, it actually exceeded some of my expectations in some departments. Hell, for the price, if you're a sports guy, you could get like four of these things and put them together on the wall so you can watch four games at the same time if you wanted to.
So, in closing, what are my final thoughts on the U65 QF? I was actually very impressed with the U65 considering how much you get for the price. It is very bright, does have all the HDR formats, does have good sound and flexibility of image and sound. The build quality is also very good as you saw it compared to its step-up siblings, the U7 and the U8. Its local dimming is also very impressive as long as you were on angle. Its biggest weakness is going to be its off angle viewing where blooming will become a problem.
So, if you're an Amazon fan, you'll definitely like that. The only downsides I found is that I did get some blooming on the television. So if you watching a movie and get those credits, you might see a little bit of glow around the image. Also, the source button is not available on the remote control.
The Hisense U65QF is decent for a home theater. It has good contrast, so it displays deep blacks. However, blacks look a bit uneven during dark scenes due to the TV's mediocre black uniformity, and there's visible blooming around highlights and subtitles. Still, when combined with its adequate HDR brightness and good color vibrancy, you get a pleasing image in a dark room. Even though the TV has decent color accuracy in HDR and SDR, the entire image is over-brightened in HDR, so it doesn't fully respect the content creator's intent.
