The JBL Quantum One packs powerful audio backed by active-noise cancelling and 7.1 surround sound. Combined with pleathery comfort, it’s a winner.

Active noise canceling and accurate head-tracking make the JBL Quantum One a singular headset.

The JBL Quantum ONE is a great sounding 7.1 surround sound gaming headset. The head tracking feature works great if you have a large monitor to make it a worthwhile feature for PC gaming. That said, there are tradeoffs as it is on the expensive side, is a bit heavy, and the microphone works better without sidetone turned on which may bug some gamers. JBL is definitely on the right track with their first foray into gaming and hopefully their next iterations can be fine-tuned in a couple of areas, most notably weight and microphone quality. If the Quantum ONE doesn’t seem like the headset for you, there are other more affordable JBL Quantum gaming headsets to suit other budgets and needs as well.

The Quantum One may be slightly expensive, but its features justify its price, and we recommend this headset for gaming.

The JBL Quantum One is a solid headset for both games and music. If you can get past its garish RGB lighting, it offers a rich feature set that most PC gamers will appreciate, including ANC, a useful game-chat mixer dial, and some of the best audio I've heard on a gaming headset. The head-tracking tech is a somewhat cool addition, but not particularly useful.

The JBL Quantum One wired gaming headset features active noise cancellation and head tracking, but its performance doesn't quite match its price.

The JBL Quantum ONE is a versatile headset that works for every gaming format, but because of the accompanying USB audio mixer, it's a better PC headset than a console one. That said, crisp sound, easy to use accessories, and a comfortable fit on the ears give this headset a lot of bang for its buck.

With great sound, a nice feature set and a comfortable build, the JBL Quantum One is a great gaming headset for PC - but a harder sell for console players.

With the JBL Quantum One headphones, you get an impressive albeit not perfect gaming audio experience: the headset comes packed with useful features, offers high quality sound, and will work with a wide variety of computers, consoles and mobile devices too.

The JBL Quantum ONE is a very solid headset with an incredible amount of unique features. It delivers on sound quality and noise isolation. But despite all of this it still does feel like it's on the pricier side for what it delivers.

The JBL Quantum One crams in almost everything you could want in a kick-ass gaming headset, it's just held back by unreliable tech.

If you fit the exact profile – a PC gamer – these are a sensible buy, offering good, immersive surround sound with added extras such as head tracking that genuinely elevate the gaming experience. For anyone else though – console gamers, Mac users, mobile gamers – there are better options out there. The reliance on a Windows app to enable the interesting features means only people gaming on a PC will really feel the benefit.

JBL’s first flagship gaming headset is comfy and feature-rich, but its head tracking doesn’t earn the $300 price tag.

They’re decently comfortable and quite customizable thanks to support from the dedicated JBL Quantum Engine app. The QuantumSphere 360 head-tracking feature is a compelling addition if you’re looking for a little more immersion. They should also be compatible with most setups thanks to the inclusion of both 1/8" TRRS and USB-A to USB-C cables. Lastly, their microphone makes your voice sound full-bodied.
