If you prefer a brighter sound image with a clear, easily understandable reproduction of voices and are looking for comfortable earbuds you will find what you are looking for with the Tune 225TWS from JBL. The successful update gives these lightweight True Wireless earbuds fast-charging batteries with increased endurance, a USB-C connection and support for the AAC format, a high-quality audio codec. However, they are still without volume control.
If I had to choose between the JBL Tune 225 TWS and the other product that shall not be named again, it’s a no brainer as far as I’m concerned. The 225 only goes for $99.95, an affordable price that should convince even a novice to dump its competitor. Its got some major hiccups but will benefit the casual listener in more ways than the other model that shares its likeness.
With an impressive reach from a device, long-lasting charge and quality sound I think £69 is a bargain for the lightweight quality of the JBL Tune 225TWS.
All in all, the JBL Tune 225TWS is an excellent earbuds. Despite its flaws and the brands decision to go with half in-ear design, it still provides a rich detailed sound quality. It's almost difficult to tell which is which if you close your eyes and compare this earbud to AirPods via sound quality only.
While their mid and treble ranges are quite well balanced, yielding present, clear, and detailed vocals and lead instruments, their sound profile is lacking substantially in bass, so they're a poor fit for genres like EDM and hip-hop. Their audio delivery can vary drastically depending on their fit, seal, and positioning in your ear, and they don't have any sound customization features.
The JBL Tune 225TWS earbuds make a good first impression, with a nice design and charging case. But with no ability to create an in-ear seal, a sometimes uncomfortable fit and a general lack of frills, they are less than the sum of their parts.

they’re comfortable and have okay battery life. Even the sound is good once your ears adjust to the added brightness of the mid-range.
