Supplied in a foam hard case, this is a surprisingly transportable device that can be set up and moved quickly thanks to its brilliant design, yet produces a 3,000 ANSI lumens image with HDR 10 support. It feels like the best of both worlds between the convenience of a portable projector and the quality of something much heavier.
Is the JMGO N1S Ultra flawless? Nope. The UI could be snappier and the remote should be backlit. But when it comes to the core experience—picture quality, brightness, ease of use, and versatility—it’s one of the best projectors I’ve ever used.
The JMGO N1S Ultra 4K, mounted on a sturdy gimbal, significantly enhances projection power and portability. Its compact design and robust case make it perfect for both business presentations and home movie nights. However, its high price and limited port options may be a drawback for some users seeking more connectivity.
Regarding the essential elements of a projector, the picture and sound, JMGO has created a projector that is a performance beast with fantastic color, black levels, and shadow detail that results in one of the best-looking and sounding projectors I’ve reviewed in its price point.
The JMGO N1S Ultimate's unusually high brightness makes it a good choice for rooms with bright lighting, though it's pricey for a room-to-room portable projector.
The unit is extremely bright, enough for a moderately lit room. Its contrast is no slouch; its blacks are more noticeably raised in very bright scenes, but overall, it's very good.
