In my listening room, KEF's sleek, small KC62 sub merged successfully with three high-quality loudspeakers—including KEF's own LS50. In each case, the KC62 subwoofer did more than add bass: It took an already great speaker and made it greater. Isn't that what a subwoofer is supposed to do?
Throughout my listening, the KC62 filled my room with deep, well controlled, high-output bass. Can Hofmann’s Iron Law be bent any further than KEF has managed with the KC62? I doubt it—but who knows? What I do know is that the KC62 is an engineering and sonic tour de force.
KEF’s KC62 delivers impressively deep bass in an elegant, ultra-compact package, though its output is best suited for smaller rooms or listening at more moderate levels.
While you'll certainly be paying a price for it, the KEF KC62 bends the laws of physics to offer incredibly powerful and clean bass for its tiny size – not to mention it comes in a compact and striking aluminium chassis and is very easy to set up.
There is no doubt in my mind that KEF’s new KC62 is a breakthrough product, one that redefines what is expected from a small subwoofer. It’s not inexpensive, but when you consider what it does and how it compares to bigger more expensive designs, it actually offers very good value.

The KEF KC62 is not inexpensive, and as I’ve said one could buy more with less money.
