The LG OLED evo C3 is loaded with features that make it ideal for watching — or playing — anything your heart desires. You can find TVs with better sound, but there aren’t many out there that offer you this much and perform at this level for the same price.
The LG C3 lives up to the legacy of the award-winning C Series OLEDs that came before it. It’s an excellent choice if you’re shopping in a high-end price bracket, but would rather avoid splashing out on the most expensive TVs the industry has to offer. From its incredible picture quality to its class-leading gaming support, the C3 is one of the year’s best TVs.
LG C3 remains an excellent TV and one of the best value-for-money high-end OLED TVs for movies, series, gaming, and more. LG has fixed auto-dimming in dark scenes, added HDMI 2.1 QMS, and added back DTS audio support. The design refresh of webOS 23 is a step forward but full-screen webOS is still not great, partly due to its performance and partly due to its full-screen interface full of ads. LG has also yet to reach the 1000 nits milestone with the C-series models.
The LG C3 is a superb OLED TV that delivers pictures that are as cinematic, detailed and refined as ever. However, with only small improvements from the now heavily discounted C2 and its competition getting stronger, there are more questions to ask of the C3 than before.
LG’s C2 series was our top TV pick of the year for 2022, so the new C3 series has a tough act to follow. But it arrives with new HDR-improving picture processing, a pleasing look, a smart TV interface overhaul, and a wealth of features that will appeal to both gamers and movie fans. With screen sizes ranging from 42 inches all the way up to 83 inches, the C3 series is clearly designed to fit into a wide array of living spaces, and it's priced at a level that, while not cheap, could be considered reasonable for a high-performance TV. It’s a very worthy successor to the C2 series, and already a contender for top TV of 2023.
Another year, another C-series OLED from LG. There are a few gains in picture quality and smarts, though similarly priced (QD-OLED) competition does offer a more vivid colour performance. The tame sound system could also use beefing up, but add a soundbar and the LG OLED65C3 is pretty much all things to all people.
The problem for the LG C3 is the outgoing LG C2 as the differences between both TVs are just not enough to warrant the actual difference in price should you go out and buy either one at the time of this review in May. If you can live without the tiny brightness increase and tone mapping improvements, along with a new layout for WebOS 23 and a new shortcut menu, then in all other respects the two sets are identical and the C2 is by far the better deal.
The LG C3 TV has convinced me that I very much need an OLED display, and perhaps that it’s worth spending a bit more on a TV to get the best quality. The last TV that I bought was a fairly cheap 4K LCD TCL with AndroidTV, which was perfectly fine, but was nowhere near as beautiful and as fast as the C3.
The LG C3 is an amazing TV, sure to please all but the most demanding buyers. The very good brightness in both SDR and HDR makes it well-suited to watching anything, from SDR content to the latest hit movies in HDR.

The LG OLED C3 is the heir to the popular test winner C2 from 2022. The LG display has received some small updates that make one of the best TVs in the premium class even better. The C3 delivers excellent picture quality, and with four HDMI 2.1 inputs, this is a forward-thinking and gaming-friendly TV.
This 42-inch OLED is ideal for close-quarter gaming, offering excellent image quality and a quartet of 120fps capable HDMI inputs. It’s also a terrific small-screen smart TV, but the price tag is toppy.
Like we said, marginal gains. The LG OLED65C3 has some definite advantages over the C2 it replaces, not least in its HDR picture processing enhancements and the revision to its webOS interface – but by themselves they won’t seem quite enough to tempt C2 owners into a quick upgrade.

The LG C3 Evo is an OLED TV with an incredibly colorful and fairly bright picture, as well as some of the best gaming performance we've seen.

The C3 is very similar to the C2 it replaces. That makes it a very good TV, but you can currently buy better for very similar money
