The Meze Poets are stunning headphones.

Of all the Meze headphones, the POET comes closest to capturing some of the spirit of the original Empyrean's tuning. And yet it retains its own identity with a generally smooth sound signature, a dash of treble sparkle, and a slightly flatter bass response that creates a nicely balanced tonal quality.

A few months ago, I had the privilege of trying these at Meze Audio’s headquarters nestled in the picturesque town of Baia Mare, and ever since I’ve been playing around with a set for the past few weeks.

The Meze Audio Poet open-back headphones are The Business™ – from their art-deco ear cups to tactile transmission of transients and tender textures. They are thoughtful, considerate audiophile-grade listening headphones, and serious conviction has gone into their design. If the soundstage was just a tad wider, the Poet would be an all-timer.

There is nothing more left to add than that the Meze Audio Poet is not just a headphone but an actual poet that will speak verses to your heart and communicate the true essence of music like no other headphone can do.

The POET tuning wise is very enjoyable, and it focuses on dynamics, engagement and pure musicality.

Overall, at $2,000, what do I think about these? I think these are a reasonably decent value.
