Monoprice did a fantastic job with the Monolith M-TWE earbuds and at the current sale price of $100 they really can't be beat. They are comfortable, sound great, last for many hours, and even come with a three-year replacement warranty with a 30-day money-back guarantee so there is no risk in trying them out
Monolith M-TWE by Monoprice offers a vast array of features and will be an excellent purchase for audiophiles looking for fantastic sound quality and personalized settings that will cater to them. True wireless earbuds will always have an issue with comfort and fit and will also be prone to user error when handling. However, suppose you have the money (MSRP is $99.99, down from the original $129.99) and want a quality experience in a truly wireless earbud that lasts an amazingly long time and offers this high of a level of customization. In that case, the Monolith M-TWE earbuds are well worth the price asked.
I was impressed with the audio quality on the M-TWE as well as its additional feature—that its compatible with the SoundID app from Sonarworks, which adds an additional level of customization to this inexpensive pair of earbuds. I also found both the active noise cancelling mode and ambient mode effective.
With aptX Bluetooth, Sonar- Works SoundID, and active noise cancellation, the Monolith M-TWE is a feature-packed wireless earbuds option. Long battery life, a sweatproof IPx4 rating, good sound (with noise-cancellation active), and two included carrying case options also add to its appeal. If you want wireless earbuds that provide good basic performance plus the ability to customize the sound to your listening preference, check out this affordable model from Monoprice.
The good thing about the Monoprice Monolith M-TWE is that there is nothing really bad to say about the M-TWE because performance-wise, everything is done well and at a price that will not break the bank.
I so wanted this to be the end of my earbud search. Unfortunately, my goofy ear anatomy reared its ugly head again and has ruled these out for me as a primary earbud. Couple that with the finicky (at least for me) touch controls and confusing LED indications and I’m not too disappointed. Factor in the terrific sound quality for music and I could live with the control issues if it wasn’t for the pain in my ears. But then, the poor noise suppression on calls lowers the value for me. If most earbuds are comfortable for you, then these could be a great choice for you, as long as when you make calls, you do so in a noise-free environment. My stupid ears and I will continue our search for the perfect wireless, noise-canceling earbud.
These are a good enough choice for anyone who plans to use the M-TWE with a Windows computer, Android device, or game console. At this price point, however, there may be better options still.
