Given its success over the years in the low- to mid-range sector, it’s no surprise that OnePlus has produced a great pair of $100 earbuds. The OnePlus Buds 3 offer solid sound quality, long battery life, a comfortable design and noise cancellation for less than half the cost of the most popular earbuds out there. Even in spite of their shortcomings, the Buds 3 have quickly become one of my go-to recommendations for anyone who needs a pair of earbuds under $100.
The OnePlus Buds 3 are quite simply the best audio product the company has released to date. The improvements to audio quality and tuning are appreciated and while the company isn't quite there yet it's heading down the right path. The ANC works really well, the microphone quality is good, the earbuds are very comfortable, and the battery life is commendable. Complaints about LHDC aside, there really isn't much else to criticize. At the current asking price of $100/€99/INR 5499, the OnePlus Buds 3 are highly recommended.
The OnePlus Buds 3 improve upon their predecessor while adding even more features. The buds and case tote a luxury, yet compact design that make for a lightweight carry and wear.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the OnePlus Buds 3, and if I had purchased them myself, then I'd have no regrets about having dropped $100. The ANC could be better, but I think most people will find that the OnePlus Buds 3 are a really solid pair of earbuds, especially at their $100 price tag. Sure, they won't deliver the top-notch quality expected of more expensive earbuds, but they do bring some features we don't often see in the midrange area, and that's a nice bonus.
At Rs. 5,499, the OnePlus Buds 3 truly wireless earphones offer a plethora of features that have trickled down from the more premium Buds Pro 2 (Review), almost making the latter redundant when it comes to certain features. Key among these are the new slide gestures with touch controls, which make for a convenient way to control the volume and music playback experience without the need to reach for your smartphone. While the addition of LHDC codec is questionable, you still get capable ANC and excellent voice quality. A well-designed companion app that offers most of the features of a OnePlus smartphone, even on a non-OnePlus device, ends up making the OnePlus Buds 3 earphones a very compelling audio package at this price point.
But to get the most out of these earbuds, you'll need a compatible smartphone. If you're in the US, many of those smartphone brands are absent, so you'll have to settle with a OnePlus. However, there aren't any other limitations to the earbuds, so the price is well worth it.
At Rs 5,499, the OnePlus Buds 3 is among the best truly wireless earphones I have tried in recent times. And I am saying this with a lot of confidence because the OnePlus Buds 3 has broken a price barrier by offering high-res audio, user controls, and decent noise cancellation at this price point. Maybe they got the pricing wrong, this could have sold for much more.
The OnePlus Buds 3 are very good for commuting and traveling. Thanks to their ANC system, they can block out a good amount of sound around you, from the rumbles of bus and plane engines to passenger chit-chat. They last nearly seven hours with their ANC on, too, and if you need more battery life, you can pop them back into the case, which has four extra charges. The buds have a comfortable fit and are pretty portable, so you can easily put them into most pockets and bags on the go.

The OnePlus Buds 3 deliver decent sound and battery life, plus convenient features like Fast Pair and multipoint connectivity, for $100. ANC performance isn't great, but the Buds 3 are a perfectly fine option for the price.
While we feel like the OnePlus Buds 3 are being cannibalized by OnePlus' own portfolio, and that the Galaxy Buds FE may be the better choice for some people out there, our final word is this — they are certainly among the better $99 earphones we've tested.
The OnePlus Buds 3 has great call clarity, brilliant multipoint connectivity, and entertains with its energetic sound. Although its Active Noise Cancelling could have been stronger, these are great and versatile earbuds for everyday use.
