You’d be hard-pressed to find better-sounding bookshelf speakers than the Polk Legend L100. They have plenty of bass, don’t overwhelm in the mid-range, and let you discern things musical that most speakers don’t, even when you’re not listening dead center.

On the Polk speakers, the mids seemed to have a little dip in the presence region, causing the perspective to be a bit more laid-back than I usually like. Vocals came across a tad bit monotone on L100, compared to the Kef.

They are perfect companions to a two-channel receiver in an office or den, when excellent music reproduction is appreciated and fill in nicely as surround sound channels in multi-channel home theater systems.

These are very enjoyable speakers to listen to, even with their imperfections, and I wanted to listen to them more than other speakers.
