The Reavon UBR-X100 is an accomplished 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc player that sports an attractive and well-made chassis, excellent remote control, and easy-to-use interface. The performance is impressive, with extensive disc playback and file support. The X100 handles Dolby Vision but not HDR10+, and there's no Wi-Fi or SACD support, so it's not universal, nor is it cheap, but it's a capable high-end digital transport.

This pair of players from newcomer Reavon succeeds brilliantly in giving the Ultra HD Blu-ray format, along with other shiny discs, a new lease on life.

Sleek styling and solid build quality go some way towards justifying the UBR-X100’s hefty price tag, and this impressive 4K Blu-ray player offers extensive disc playback. There’s no SACD, DVD-Audio or HDR10+ support, though, that’s not a major loss, and the flawless operation, Dolby Vision decoding, and excellent upscaling should keep well-heeled physical media fans happy. Ultimately, the X100 is good but there are better alternatives.
