Samsung makes some of the best flagship TVs on the market, but don’t think that the same quality and care isn’t in its more budget agreeable offerings. The Q80B is proof that you can get that Samsung high-end quality at a wallet-friendly price.

By the way, although it does not bring everything that Samsung has launched in terms of video game experience, the Samsung QE55Q80BATXXC is a mixed bag. It has Auto Game Mode (ALLM) via HDMI 2.1, surround sound also for video games, HGiG (which is a kind of HDR for games), minimap zoom , Game Motion Plus technology , responsible for ensuring that movements are always precise, fast and without loss of detail and compatibility with FreeSync Premium Pro .

All in all, the Samsung Q80B is in our opinion a very interesting TV that performs well in most situations, being an all-rounder. While it is true that if you can stretch your budget a little, for not much more, you have the QN85B Mini LED which features a panel with better viewing angle, higher brightness and improved image processing.

The Samsung Q80B is ideal for bright room viewing, boasts an excellent smart TV streaming platform in Tizen and supports high frame rate gaming. Even its Object Tracking Sound system cuts muster. The only caveats are black level performance, which is hampered by mediocre local dimming, and lack of Dolby Vision. Not a telly for home cinephiles then, but everyone else should shortlist it…

The Samsung Q80B is an impressive option if your budget won’t stretch to Samsung’s higher-numbered Neo QLED Mini LED models. The Q80B's vibrant picture performance is easy to like, there’s high frame rate gaming support, plus a solid smart platform with plenty of streaming options.

The Q80B does many things right – it offers a bright picture, rich, vibrant and accurate colors, and crystal clear and detailed picture images. Its smart TV hub offers great entertainment options and it’s a great TV for gaming as well. It does, however, suffer from some blooming Other than its few shortcomings the Q80B is a decent choice for a mid-tier 4K HDR TV.around bright objects set against a dark background, and its contrast and black levels aren’t the greatest due to its ADS (IPS) panel.

It's great for watching shows in well-lit rooms as it has decent reflection handling and gets bright enough to fight glare. It also has a wide viewing angle so that everyone sees an accurate image, even when viewing from the side. It's great for gaming because it has HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, variable refresh rate support to reduce screen tearing, and a quick response time with low input lag. It's also decent for watching SDR or HDR movies as it displays 1080p and 4k content without issues, although blacks look gray in the dark, and the local dimming causes some blooming.
