Once again, Samsung's QN900B Neo QLED 8K TV has set the benchmark for Mini LED television technology, improving on its predecessor in a number of important ways, such as a noticeable reduction in light blooming, along with better image processing, brightness, audio and even design. While we have some reservations about Samsung's new (but not necessarily improved) user interface, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better LCD television this year.
The QN900B is one of our favorite 8K UHD TVs. Excellent upscaling, accurate color, and loads of peak brightness create an impactful image–especially with HDR material.
The Samsung QN900B is the best LED TV that Samsung has ever built. It’s well-designed and offers good audio, to be sure, but even better is the fact that it offers an excellent image quality with awesome upscaling tech and a decent operating system. It’s expensive, to be sure, and you don’t really need an 8K resolution. But the TV really is one of the best options out there.
Thanks to cutting-edge picture processing and a super-bright Mini LED backlight, the Samsung QN900B provides class-leading 8K performance. HDR is beautiful, with dazzling highlights and intensely saturated colors. Not only is the image quality excellent, but the QN900B is also one of the best-looking TVs on the market, with an almost undetectable bezel and speakers, as well as a stand that is both sleek and simple.
If you're ready to make the jump to 8K, Samsung's latest flagship premium TV tries to leverage every bell and whistle it can to make that leap seem worth it. While light on major improvements in picture quality, clear advantages when it comes to sound and software make it a solid option for those who can afford it.
The QN900B is a fantastic TV. The picture is incredible and it makes movies and games much more of an immersive experience. Having to go through the UI that makes whatever you’re currently watching small to pick your next input or go to FTA annoys me personally, but is more of a preference thing.
It looks great in a dark room thanks to its decent local dimming feature, so it's a good choice for watching movies. It has high peak brightness and excellent reflection handling, so it's also a good choice for watching shows or sports in a bright room. It delivers an excellent gaming experience, with low input lag and an extremely fast response time. HDR content looks great thanks to its high HDR peak brightness and wide color gamut. Finally, it's excellent for use as a PC monitor, but there are some distracting uniformity issues.
Let's face it: we're lucky enough to live not just in a golden age for television in terms of content, but also in terms of TV technology. (Perhaps there's a correlation between the two; after all, it's hard to imagine people being quite so willing to forgo movie theaters in favor of streaming films and prestige TV if the only way to watch cinema at home was on those fat old boxes.) It may be arguably overpowered for now, but I wouldn't want to be the one to bet on entertainment technology not advancing over the next decade — and that includes 8K content. In the meantime, though, this Samsung manages to be both an attractive living room conversation piece and a TV so good, it seriously makes you consider giving up that AMC Stubs membership.
Sleek, thin-bezel design. Pedestal mount. Easy to wall mount with discrete cables and exterior box for HDMI connections. A second-to-none picture with amazing color and highlights. Solar-powered remote.
The QN75QN900B is so much more than just a massive load of pixels – from its design to its picture quality, this is an AV experience that’s hard to beat
If your pockets are deep enough to find £5k for a TV, I strongly recommend that you ignore the anti-8K hype and give the 75QN900B a chance. Its Mini LED-driven pictures are spectacular in every way, regardless of whether you’re gaming or watching a film, and regardless, too, of whether you’re watching it in a bright or dark room. Essentially the 75QN900B is the ultimate example of how their resolution is actually just the start of an 8K TV’s cutting edge charms.
The Samsung QN900B delivers class-leading 8K performance thanks to AI-enhanced image processing and a Mini LED backlight. The HDR pictures are also stunning, with super-bright highlights and saturated colours. Add in immersive sound, next-gen gaming features, and extensive smarts, and you’ve got a near-perfect TV package... if you can afford it.
Simply put, you will not find a TV better for gaming than the Samsung QN900B. No other TV has the depth of gaming features, the 8K resolution, and the HDR with rich colors and the striking contrast offered by this Neo QLED masterpiece.
