It's excellent for watching shows or sports in a bright room thanks to its superb peak brightness and excellent reflection handling. It's amazing for gaming, with low input lag, a fast response time, and a great selection of gaming features. It delivers an impactful HDR experience, with fantastic peak brightness in HDR, a very good color gamut, and excellent gradient handling. Finally, it's an amazing choice for use as a PC monitor, as it supports most common resolutions and chroma 4:4:4 is displayed properly, which is essential for clear text.

Samsung QN95B is one of the best LCD TVs on the market but that does not say much nowadays where OLED TVs are taking over the premium segment of the TV market. In our opinion QN95B should be cheaper than any 120Hz OLED TV to be competitive and unfortunately that is not the case.

The QN95B is a very good LCD TV that has some of the best technology on board to make it look as close as possible to a high contrast display, with decent viewing angles and APL that should work in its favour, especially with HDR10 and its peak brightness capabilities. But in doing so and introducing dimming to hide some of the technical limitations of using a backlight (Mini LED or not), it ends up neutering itself when compared to the Samsung S95B QD-OLED as the brightness advantage isn’t as pronounced as it should be.

Samsung turned to mini-LED lighting for the first time in 2021 with spectacular results: the Samsung QN95B Neo QLED TV delivers big improvements in contrast, backlight controls, upscaling, color and HDR-friendly brightness. if you want a TV that’s able to unlock the punchier parts of HDR that other TVs just cannot reach, there’s no other 4K TV quite like it, especially if you’re wanting a TV to go into a bright room.

The Samsung QN95B is an awesome addition to the company’s TV lineup, combining Mini LED backlighting, class-leading local dimming and cutting-edge image processing to produce some of the best SDR and HDR pictures you’ll see this year. The 4K image accuracy is impressive, the colours are nicely saturated, and there’s an incredible amount of brightness. At the same time, the blacks are deep, shadows are detailed and there’s excellent motion handling.

The QE65QN95B produces the finest picture quality we’ve ever seen from an LCD TV. In fact, if you’re into the sort of brightness levels and color volumes that are currently exclusively the domain of high-end LCD TVs, it’s the finest picture quality of any TV, period.

The Samsung QN95A takes the already fantastic image quality of Neo QLED and cranks it up even further, somehow. The level of clarity is realistic beyond reason, and the HDR performance is dazzling – literally, in some cases. Add in its beautiful slim design and class-leading gaming features, and you've got the ultimate all-rounder TV. Movies look wonderful even in daylight, games are responsive, and even the sound is good… it's a worthy flagship 4K set.

An appealing price for what is essentially a new and ground-breaking application of OLED is almost as much of a surprise as how much Samsung has upped the ante on what we can expect from an OLED HDTV.
