The Samsung S90/S90DD is a superb TV for any usage. Its incredibly wide viewing angle makes it a great option for watching sports or TV shows with a group, and it also has a nearly instantaneous response time for clear motion, which makes it fantastic for watching sports or playing video games. If you regularly watch movies in a dark room, the TV's remarkable contrast and excellent HDR brightness deliver an impactful HDR experience. The TV overcomes glare in a bright room, so it's also a good option for use during the day or with some lights on. The TV is also an exceptional option for gamers due to its advanced gaming features.

I can tell you that the S90C is as good as the S90D, but you do not get the improvements that the S90D gets with the snappier UI, everything just seems to work good. But this is an improvement in some areas. So if you are choosing between the two and the price is close enough I would get the S90D.

So right now I just simply cannot recommend the S90D, but I do suggest keeping your third eye on it as it’s likely that we’ll see another panel lottery where many launch models will using a last generation S95C panel, but as the year goes on and S95C production ceases, eventually most S90D panels should change to S95D panels, which and while I officially don’t recommend this, means that in theory you could likely change almost all of them into an S95D in that secret menu and get a massive brightness boost.
