I’ve spent the better part of the last decade waiting for someone—anyone—to improve upon the tried and true OLED formula. After all this time, I was beginning to think we’d bumped into the ceiling of OLED technology’s capabilities. Rarely have I been this excited to be wrong about something. The Samsung S95B is a game changer, and I’m eager to see what other brands—including Samsung—do with future QD-OLED TVs.
The Samsung S95B is simply an exceptional TV that will meet a variety of users’ needs. Some might be disappointed by the lack of Dolby Vision support, but that’s the biggest nitpick that can be raised at the panel. In truth, it ticks almost every box that a person could want, and even includes features you don’t realize you need.
Its self-emissive panel technology is superb for watching movies or gaming in a dark room. HDR content looks superb thanks to its high peak brightness and exceptional color gamut. It also has an exceptional viewing angle, so you can enjoy an accurate image from any angle, making it amazing for watching sports or TV shows. Sadly, it uses an extremely uncommon pixel layout that results in noticeable color fringing and blurry text, so it's not well-suited for productivity use as a PC monitor. It's also best suited for completely dark rooms, as it has raised blacks in a room with any ambient lighting, and the screen has a pink tint to it.
For the brightest OLED yet The S95B is the brightest OLED we’ve tested and its picture quality is largely excellent but does require tweaking in its HDR modes.
Overall, the Samsung S95B is a superb debut of the company’s QD-OLED technology with stunning image quality when it comes to colour volume, uniformity and HDR brightness. It also arrives at a very reasonable price for new tech, and prices have dropped since we purchased this TV less than a month ago, so it could end up being a Black Friday bargain later in the year. It still needs some refining and hopefully Samsung will release future firmware to address the issues we have raised here, but overall there is no mistaking that the S95B is worthy of a Best Buy badge!
I’m still not a fan of Samsung’s smart TV interface, but this panel is just so gosh-darned good that I can look past it in this case. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better panel for a better price.
The innovative Samsung S95B combines Samsung’s consumer electronics know-how with the best aspects of both OLED and quantum dot technology, stumbling only slightly—but significantly—when it comes to its picture quality and its OS.
Samsung's S95B TV line demonstrates how incredible colors can be on a cutting-edge OLED panel with quantum dot technology, but those same dots throw off what should otherwise be perfectly dark black levels.
The Samsung S95B is a QD-OLED panel that combines class-leading brightness with solid gaming support and a rock-solid smart platform - but subtle it is not…
The Samsung S95B represents remarkable value for money, with awesome picture quality, a comprehensive smart system, and extensive gaming features. The sound could be better, and there’s no support for Dolby Vision, but otherwise this cutting-edge QD-OLED TV is hard to fault.
The Samsung S95B is a fantastic SDR and HDR performer that fully justifies the manufacturer’s faith in its new quantum dot OLED TV technology. The inclusion of a Filmmaker mode ensures you get an accurate picture out of the box, while the potential of more saturated colours and brighter highlights is delivered not only in terms of measurements but also with real world content.
Samsung’s S95B continues the journey started by Sony’s A95K towards convincing us that QD-OLED really is a genuine evolution in TV technology. In fact, by being brighter and bolder than the Sony, it makes you even more aware of the technology’s potential.
After several weeks with the Samsung, I'm still not comfortable with its ergonomics. But what can't be denied is that the QN65S95B, in every performance respect, is a state-of-the-art television set, a step up from classic OLED designs at a price that makes it a bargain in today's market.
The Samsung S95B requires a bit of legwork to get the very best from its stunningly designed new slice of TV tech, but the picture results are sensational enough to justify the effort.
So the TV is great if to don't have any direct light shining since any QD OLed will show blacks as gray. Leave that the tv is ok for picture quality. The TV doesn't work with any amplifier it turns it on whenever it likes it I've tested with Yamaha 2050, Yamaha 3050 , Pioneer 1370x, and Denon X2800H doesn't turn them on or it does on random bases . If you leave the tv on air channel it turns them on right away. This is a problem with Samsung TVs since 2020 there is a big topic on their forums still no response . I am leaving a link. I will not recommend any Samsung tv because of this issue.

Marry the lush black of OLED with the rich, saturated color of quantum dots, and you get the Samsung S95B, quite possibly the best 4K TV ever made.

You’ll find a rather impressive picture with vibrant colours and the best brightness on an OLED telly… but you’ll have to fiddle around to get there.
