I think the Olympica range is in Sonus faber’s sweet spot; sandwiched between the value Venere range and the upmarket Homage and beyond, Olympica holds to the core values of good design and great sound that have always set Sonus faber apart from the crowd.
Given their overall performance, exceptional physical beauty, and phenomenal build quality, you can spend a lot more for a great pair of tower speakers and get a lot less. Sonus faber has also created a full line-up of matching bookshelf, wall-mount, and center channel speakers for the Olympica Nova line, so if you want to build a stunning surround array, you can do so while maintaining perfect tone and timbre across all your speakers.
But even a non-audiophile that examines the Nova IIIs may conclude that they’re worth the asking price, based strictly on aesthetics and the quality of their manufacture.
As if to match their luxurious build and finish, the Olympica Nova 5s deliver a very cultured, almost velvety view of the music, likely to impress with their sheer scale and lack of any obvious sonic nasties. In so doing they may relinquish a little of the sparkle and character that some listeners might seek, but these big Novas will never offend. For a grand sound without tears, make an appointment with the Nova Vs.
Sonus faber, as demonstrated by the Olympica Nova II, has been slowly morphing their traditional sound into something that skillfully reconciles the difference between the professed music lover and the true audiophile listener.
They do not go as deep in the bass as a couple of large floor-standing speakers can do, and a good band treble can be experienced as more airy and lifting e.g. string sounds a little more. But you also do not miss it at Sonus faber Olympica Nova III. Which is a technical triumph for Paolo Tezzon, and a lesson in completed design from Livio Cucuzza.
Anyone who loves music and high end two channel reproduction will find it easy to fall in love with these Italian beauties. In essence the Nova V earns a five star rating in my book. Check them out!

The Sonus faber Nova II is a serious audiophile speaker that I would put against anything in the $10,000 per pair price range.

The Sonus Faber Olympica Nova III is pretty much the ideal small floorstanding loudspeaker for the discerning audiophile.

With its detailed highs and rich, full midrange, vocals and acoustic music were picture perfect.
