The SONETTO V is an affordable way to bring Sonus faber’s unique sound into your system. They look and sound amazing and embody the company’s philosophy of speakers as musical instruments.
Sonus faber's Sonetto II is lovely – and puzzlingly cheap at the price. As a loudspeaker, it is highly competent, and as a piece of furniture is a thing of beauty. If you're in the market for a serious-sounding, classy looking affordable stand-mount loudspeaker, this is hard to beat.
My best advice is to check out the Sonus faber Sonetto speakers. If you do your homework I think you’ll be as impressed with the product line as I was. This is one case where I am happy that I was wrong.
I can confidently say that Sonus Faber Sonetto I performs quite naturally and outstandingly regardless of various instruments, and even the electrical effects produced by electronic synthesizers also have a good sense of coverage.
So then, did the Sonus Faber Sonetto II speakers cause me to change my listening preferences forever? Well, not exactly; but the invitation to explore that a bit of extra romance and sonic panache was delightful. In fact, these speakers are just exceptional
Being a Sonus faber owner, I have to admit a bit of built-in bias towards the brand. You won’t mistake the Sonettos for a pair of something else – they have a sound of their own. Like famous painters, everyone has a style that they truly love. If you are looking for a pair of truly beautiful speakers that offer up a dynamic, tonally rich presentation, take the Sonetto Vs for a spin.
The Sonetto V is at the perfect junction in audio. It draws more than you might think from the Olympica loudspeakers in terms of outright sound quality but does so at a fraction of the cost of a similar Olympica speaker design, and it does all this while carving out its own elegant aesthetic and sonic performance that is extremely entertaining, especially to those who might never fully embrace the ‘live, unamplified music’ ethos of traditional high-end. Perhaps more importantly though, it shows what Sonus faber can do in creating an attainably-priced high-end loudspeaker without having to resort to building the products half a world away.
