Nothing major has changed from 2021 and the inclusion of the X1 4K HDR processor meant that the X80K can handle any content really well for its price. Viewing angles were good due to the IPS like panel it uses, colors were good enough, there is support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and DTS and Google TV is a very good and easy to handle OS. We also liked the redesigned remote a lot more than last year’s one.
The Sony Bravia X80K sports an LED panel, but it is anything but basic. The picture quality is great, the sound delivers, and then there’s the Google TV experience. In all, Rs 94,990 is a lot to pay for an LED panel, there are cheaper options for LED panels if you are looking for that from other companies. You cannot compare it to Sony’s own, more premium offerings, surely.
It's a good TV for watching sports or TV shows in wide seating areas because it has a wide viewing angle and the image looks the same from the sides. It also has decent reflection handling and SDR peak brightness, so it's fine for rooms with a few lights around. However, it isn't good for watching movies or gaming in dark rooms because it has a low contrast ratio and lacks a local dimming feature. Its HDR performance is also sub-par as it has low HDR peak brightness.

The X80K is a decent all-around performer, and could appeal to TV shoppers on a budget who just want a Sony, but you can certainly do better for the money.
