While the Soundcore Life Q20s don't quite have the sound quality or active noise cancellation capabilities of the Bose QuietComfort 35 II, they are still sound great and provide adequate noise cancellation for travel.

This is the headset to get if you want barebones, no-nonsense active noise cancelling (ANC) on a budget. Sure, the lack of bleeding-edge features and outdated USB port may be a drag, but this headset does very well for the price.

The Anker Soundcore Life Q20 ANC is a good starting point for those looking for active noise cancellation. Sound quality, battery life, and its physical controls are all good, but ANC is just average. They're a bit basic compared to the better ANC headphones out there - and don't hold a candle to Bose and Sony's flagship models - but the Soundcore Life Q20 ANC are a good value.

They're quite comfortable, and they come with a basic pouch to give them some light protection when you toss them into a bag. While their ANC should help block out your chatty seatmate on a plane, it won't help to block out the rumble of the engine. On the bright side, their long battery life should last even the longest of travel days, and they can be used passively if the battery does run dry.

Offering a fantastic price-to-performance ratio compared to other top wireless headphones, the SoundCore Life Q20 is a great choice for those shopping on a budget. While no aspect of these headphones is field-leading, the sound quality, active noise cancellation and comfort are all well above average, and you get it all for a below-average price. The only caveat in our recommendation of these headphones is the headband, which is quite large, even when adjusting to its smallest size. This means people with smaller heads may have trouble getting a secure and comfy fit. Earbuds or another type of headphone might also be considered if your head or ears are outside the norm.

The Anker Soundcore Life Q20+ headphones deliver rumbling bass and active noise cancellation for less than $70, but audio quality takes a big hit when noise cancellation is engaged.

The Anker Soundcore Life Q20 headphones are a little bass-heavy and lack some fine detail but, taken as a whole, they're a decent pair of over-ear headphones for the money.
