The SVS Ultra Tower Surround speaker package came as close to earning a perfect 10 as any other speaker system we’ve heard in its price class.

This speaker has all of the right parts to make for a good quality design with solid engineering principles to back it up.

The SVS Ultra Bookshelf speaker is a $1,000 pair that has no trouble filling a room. Bass is full and well defined, and the tweeter is very clear without being peaked. Some other speakers can offer a bit more clarity in the midrange, but lack the low-end that the SVS can offer.

If you're looking for a system and have a big budget because you want a sound with real meat, power and clarity, then these simply have to be on your list.

So do I have anything to complain about with the Ultra system? Sure: It’s big, black, and bulky, with a frighteningly low WAF.

Sound quality with music was also well ahead of what's possible from even the best of today's sound bars.

I more than enjoyed my time with the new Ultra Tower speakers from SVS - okay, I really kind of dug the whole line.

The SVS Ultra Towers bring some intriguing and creative design to the table.

The sound and build quality of the SVS ULTRA BOOKSHELF SPEAKERS make them an excellent value at $1,200/pair. They can be used as front main left/right speakers, side or rear surround, or wide (Dolby Atmos®). They could also be used as height speakers, but they are a bit heavy for ceiling mount.

Great scale and bass weight, but there are too many niggles here at this price for our liking
