Roksan is clearly betting that there’s still a strong audience for well-executed separates. With the launch of the Caspian Series 4G Streaming Pre-Amplifier and matching Caspian 4G Power Amplifier, the Essex-based brand is rounding out its fourth-generation Caspian lineup with components aimed squarely at listeners who want more flexibility—and more headroom—than an all-in-one integrated can provide.
If the Caspian 4G Streaming Integrated felt like the sweet spot for many systems, these new separates are for those ready to step up without abandoning Roksan’s design language or ecosystem.
Caspian 4G Streaming Pre-Amplifier: Control, Connectivity, and Clean Design
At the heart of the new pairing is the Streaming Pre-Amplifier, which acts as both system controller and digital hub. Roksan has leaned heavily into the proven BluOS platform, giving the preamp native access to Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, internet radio, and multiroom playback. It’s also Roon Ready, making it easy to integrate into more advanced music server setups.
Network playback supports PCM files up to 24-bit/192kHz, whether streamed or pulled from local NAS storage via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. There’s no DSD support here, but that’s consistent with Roksan’s pragmatic, performance-first approach.
Digital conversion is handled by Roksan’s proprietary Rapture DAC, which avoids off-the-shelf DAC chips in favor of a discrete, dual-mono differential current-conveyor topology. According to Roksan, this approach improves bandwidth, gain matching, and noise performance compared to conventional op-amp-based designs. LVDS (low-voltage differential signaling) is used internally to transfer data between stages, further reducing interference.
The analogue side is fully balanced throughout, with both XLR and RCA outputs available. Vinyl listeners are well covered thanks to built-in MM and MC phono stages, complete with Intelligent Phono calibration via Roksan’s DSP engine.
A particularly thoughtful design touch is the use of internal Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas, each shielded with reflectors to prevent RF noise from creeping into sensitive audio circuits. No awkward external antenna stubs here.
Power Amplifier: Muscle with Manners
The Caspian 4G Power Amplifier finally fills a gap in the range—and does so with authority. Built around Roksan’s Euphoria Class A/B architecture, the amplifier uses separate power supplies for the voltage and current amplification stages, reducing interaction between them and improving control under load.
Unlike the early press materials suggested, Roksan has now confirmed power figures:
-
105 watts per channel into 8 ohms
-
200 watts per channel into 4 ohms
For those running demanding speakers or larger rooms, the amplifier can be bridged into mono, delivering a substantial:
-
420 watts into 8 ohms
-
630 watts into 4 ohms
That kind of output puts the Caspian firmly into serious territory, especially when used as a pair of monoblocks. Roksan also emphasizes careful tuning of the amplifier’s soft-clipping behavior, allowing higher perceived output before distortion becomes audible.
Display, Control, and DSP
Both units share the Caspian 4G’s high-contrast monochrome OLED display, which shows track progress, input status, and customizable icons. Around the volume control, a subtle illuminated ring doubles as a progress indicator—a small detail, but one that adds polish.
System setup and fine-tuning are handled through Monitor Audio Group’s MaestroUnite app, which provides access to a surprisingly deep DSP toolkit:
-
Intelligent Tone for subtle tonal shaping
-
Intelligent Boundary for speaker placement compensation
-
Intelligent Speaker for driver matching
-
Intelligent Phono for cartridge optimization
These tools aren’t meant to replace full room correction systems, but they do allow meaningful system tailoring without external processors.
Design and Build
Visually, the new separates stick closely to Roksan’s modern industrial aesthetic. Clean lines, chamfered edges, and custom extruded heatsinks give both units a refined but purposeful look. They’re available in black or silver, and each unit is hand-built at Monitor Audio Group’s Rayleigh headquarters in the UK.
The design borrows cues from Roksan’s Attessa range but feels more substantial in execution—appropriately so, given the pricing.

Final Take
With these additions, Roksan has turned the Caspian Series 4G into a fully modular ecosystem. The Streaming Pre-Amplifier offers modern streaming convenience without sacrificing analogue credibility, while the Power Amplifier delivers the kind of control and scalability that separates buyers are looking for.
This isn’t about chasing trends—it’s about refining a proven formula. For listeners who value balance, flexibility, and thoughtful engineering over flashy features, the Caspian 4G separates make a compelling case for moving beyond the integrated amp.
