Monitor Audio has officially introduced the Silver Series 8G, the latest generation of one of its most important loudspeaker families. The new lineup includes seven models spanning bookshelf, floorstanding, center-channel, Dolby Atmos, and on-wall designs, giving buyers everything from a compact stereo system to a full 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos setup.
The Silver Series has long occupied a sweet spot in Monitor Audio's portfolio: more ambitious than the Bronze Series, but still positioned well below the company's premium Gold and Platinum ranges. With 8G, Monitor Audio is clearly trying to push that middle tier closer to high-end performance without losing the flexibility and value that made Silver popular in the first place.
At the heart of the entire lineup is Monitor Audio's latest C-CAM driver technology with RST III, an updated cone geometry designed to improve rigidity while reducing unwanted resonance. The company's familiar C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter has also been redesigned with a vented rear chamber, new shorting ring, and UD Waveguide II for smoother dispersion and lower distortion.
One of the more interesting additions is the new Silent Flow port technology. Inspired by the overlapping feathers of an owl, the larger port and revised flare geometry are designed to reduce turbulence and port noise while improving low-frequency extension. That's particularly important on the larger models, where bass output is a major part of the value proposition.
The crossover networks have also been upgraded with higher-quality components, while Through-Bolt Driver Bracing ties the drivers more securely into the cabinets to reduce unwanted vibration.
For the floorstanding models, Monitor Audio has also introduced new outrigger feet inspired by the Platinum Series 3G, with top-adjustable leveling and interchangeable spikes or rubber feet.
The lineup itself is broad. The Silver 500 8G sits at the top with dual 8-inch bass drivers, while the Silver 300 8G offers a more compact floorstanding design with dual 6-inch woofers. The Silver 100 8G is the larger standmount model with an 8-inch mid-bass driver, while the Silver 50 8G is the smallest traditional bookshelf speaker in the range.
For home theater, Monitor Audio adds the Silver Centre 8G, Silver AMS 8G Dolby Atmos upfiring module, and a new Silver On-Wall 8G, which gives installers and enthusiasts a more discreet option for side, rear, or even front-channel placement.
All seven models are available in High Gloss Black, Satin White, and European Walnut, with the walnut finish using engineered real wood sourced from sustainable timber.
The Monitor Audio Silver Series 8G is available beginning August 2026.

The Silver Series 8G arrives in August 2026, and on paper it looks like a meaningful refinement rather than a cosmetic refresh. The new driver geometry, redesigned tweeter, Silent Flow port, and broader home-theater flexibility make this one of Monitor Audio's most comprehensive Silver launches yet.
