Eversolo T8 Streaming Transport: Hi-Res Streaming Without a DAC

After earning strong praise for its DMP-A6 (91% CE Critic Score), DMP-A8 (90% CE Critic Score), and flagship DMP-A10 (89% CE Critic Score) streaming DACs, Eversolo is back with something a little different. The company has announced the Eversolo T8, its first DAC-less streaming transport—a dedicated digital source designed to deliver pristine digital audio into an external DAC or amplifier.

At $1,380 / €1,380, the T8 is aimed at audiophiles who already own a great DAC but want to add Eversolo’s excellent streaming platform and sleek hardware design to their system. First teased at High End Munich 2025, the T8 is now official, complete with detailed specs, pricing, and availability.

A Purpose-Built Streaming Transport

Unlike Eversolo’s DAC-equipped streamers, the T8 strips things back to the essentials. There’s no onboard digital-to-analog conversion—just bit-perfect digital streaming and carefully engineered outputs. That makes it a perfect partner for external DACs, integrated amplifiers, or high-end hi-fi systems that already have strong digital front-ends.

On the front, you’ll find the same 6-inch full-color touchscreen used in the DMP series. This high-resolution display isn’t just for show: it allows direct access to music apps, streaming services, playback controls, and system settings, all in a clean, intuitive interface. It’s a striking centerpiece housed within a CNC-machined aluminum chassis, which Eversolo claims offers both durability and shielding from electromagnetic interference.

Streaming Platform and Connectivity

The T8 is built on Eversolo’s custom Android-based OS, powered by a quad-core ARM processor, 4GB DDR RAM, and 64GB of eMMC storage for smooth operation and efficient multitasking. This combination delivers a responsive user experience even when juggling apps, streaming services, and local libraries.

The T8 supports a broad range of streaming protocols and services out of the box:

  • Apple AirPlay 2

  • Spotify Connect

  • Tidal Connect

  • Qobuz Connect

  • Deezer, Amazon Music, and internet radio

  • Roon Ready certification

  • DLNA and LAN file playback

Eversolo also highlights support for bit-perfect playback of Apple Music’s hi-res and CD-quality library, making the T8 one of the few devices that can fully unlock Apple’s streaming potential.

Wireless and wired network connectivity are covered via Wi-Fi 6, Gigabit Ethernet, and even SFP Fiber input—a rare inclusion that opens the door to ultra-stable network performance for those with compatible setups.

Outputs Designed for Purity

Because this is a transport, all of the T8’s outputs are digital. Users can connect to their DAC or amplifier via:

  • USB Audio (Isolated)

  • I²S (HDMI, with eight selectable modes)

  • AES/EBU

  • Coaxial S/PDIF

  • Optical TOSLINK

The coaxial and optical outputs support up to 24-bit/192kHz PCM, while USB and I²S extend that ceiling to 32-bit/768kHz PCM and DSD512.

Isolated USB & I²S Outputs

Eversolo has put serious thought into noise reduction. The USB Audio output is fully isolated, creating a protective barrier that separates power from the audio path to ensure clean, natural sound. Likewise, the I²S output is isolated, blocking noise and ground-loop interference from upstream devices. These design choices underline the T8’s mission to deliver low-jitter, low-noise digital output.

Internal Engineering

Eversolo has packed the T8 with audiophile-grade components to ensure transparency and stability:

  • Ultra-high precision femtosecond clock for tight signal timing and jitter reduction.

  • Super-silent linear power supply that suppresses noise to just 30μV.

  • Custom 4N oxygen-free copper toroidal transformer with Teflon-insulated wiring for durability, heat resistance, and ultra-low interference.

  • Front-panel shielding to isolate the touchscreen from sensitive audio circuitry.

For local storage, the T8’s undercarriage houses two SSD slots, each supporting up to 8TB. That’s 16TB of total internal storage, more than enough for even the largest hi-res collections.

Room Correction and Control

The T8 comes with Eversolo’s Evotune room compensation software, which can be configured using a separate mic or even your smartphone’s built-in mic. This gives users an extra level of tuning to adapt the playback to their listening environment.

Control is flexible: alongside the Eversolo Control app for iOS and Android, the T8 ships with an attractive Bluetooth/IR remote that provides tactile navigation without relying on your phone.

Design and User Experience

Aesthetically, the T8 continues Eversolo’s sleek, modern design language. The CNC-machined aluminum case is both understated and premium, with the 6-inch display dominating the front panel. Internal shielding and layout are carefully engineered to minimize interference and preserve signal integrity.

The UI is polished and familiar to anyone who has used the DMP-A6 or A10. Eversolo has earned praise for its streaming interface, which blends the flexibility of Android with a hi-fi focus. That same DNA is carried over here, ensuring a user-friendly, app-rich experience.
